But now,O LORD,thou art our father;we are the clay,and thou our potter;and we all are the work of thy hand. (Isaiah 64:8)
Each of our lives has been marred by sin. Regardless of how distorted they have become,just as a master potter can transform a lump of clay on his wheel,God has the power to work out our impurities and sculpt us into a vessel with which He can be pleased and use for His glory.
In Acts 3:19 we see that for this reshaping to begin the following must happen. First we must repent. This means that we must turn away from everything in our lives that is displeasing to God. Second,we must be converted. This means we must be willing to obey everything that God instructs us to do in His Word,the Bible. When we respond in this way,God can and will transform our lives!
